Introduction
Welcome to Rare Muse Tracks! This site exist because there is a problem. That problem is that some Muse fans are audiophiles but do not have the ability to collect all the out of print CD singles and extremely hard to find EPs. These CDs sell on sites such as eBay for inflated prices putting a lot of Muse tracks out of reach for those who don't want to put up with whatever format and bitrate iTunes deems suitable.

Below is an index of Megaupload links to out of print CD singles and rare tracks in FLAC; click on the release title and enter the code displayed on the next page to gain access to the file.

Please note:
Tracks from more recently released CDs and albums will not be included here as these CDs are still easily obtainable online or in shops - this site is here only to make available what isn't already. For example, Muscle Museum CD1 has been out of print for years. It is not available to buy new and sells for an inflated price on eBay and other sites. Muse do not sell MP3s of the CD on their online store (powered by 7digital), let alone FLACs, so the CD has been included here. But the Supermassive Black Hole single was released only a few years ago and can be found in unused condition for reasonable prices, and can be downloaded in MP3 everywhere, so there is no need to include it here. In addition to this, tracks that are not easily obtainable from release media are here, such as the seperated tracks from DVDs. Afterall, Muse aren't exactly billionaires, they need to fund their jetpack fuel supplies and oversized balloon stocks somehow...

Almost every track available below can be downloaded freely from Muselive.com in MP3 or other lossy formats.

What are FLAC files and how can I use them?
Very basically, it's a format of audio file that does not have a loss in quality. More commonly used formats such as MP3 are, in contrast, lossy. Think of the contrast between an blotchy, pixelated image and a crisp, high definiton image. Simply put, a lower bit rate file such as an MP3 will only ever be a good 'approximation' of the music on a CD, whereas with a lossless format such as FLAC, it's just as good as listening to the CD itself. There are many programs that rip and play FLACs - I personally use EAC to rip and Winamp (look for the Muse cameo) to play.

WANTED TRACKS!
If you have anything you'd like to contribute to this site please contact me at spaceerased@yahoo.com. You will be credited if you want and it would be very appreciated! Keep in mind that I am only interested in lossless. MP3s can be bought from iTunes etc. so these won't be hosted. I'm also a collector of rare Muse CDs, cassettes, CD-Rs, etc, so contact me if you have anything for sale! :)

NOTE: This site is mostly inactive. Don't expect any major updates any time soon.
